IIM Kozhikode was established in 1997. IIM A offers two year Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPX).
The Post Graduate Program in Management for Executives (EPGP) is one of the finest two-year, full-time, residential programs in the world. Eligibility Criteria for the IIM Kozhikode Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) – 2024-25 :
- A bachelor’s degree* or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA is required for admission to the IIM Kozhikode EPGP.
- Candidates without a recognized bachelor’s degree may apply if they have a minimum aggregate of 50% in CA/ICWA/CS.
- Degrees obtained from foreign universities must be accompanied by an equivalency certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities) or a Government of India approved assessment agency, or from a UGC recognized Indian university. Proof of aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the completed program is mandatory.
- Applicants must have at least 3 years of managerial/entrepreneurial/professional experience post-graduation by the application deadline. Experience acquired prior to graduation will not be considered. Those with exactly 3 years of work experience at the time of application must submit an experience certificate issued by their current employer, dated after the online application submission date. Candidates with more than 3 years of work experience must provide the latest experience certificate, along with other documents justifying the 3-year requirement.
- The date of issue of the provisional certificate/original degree certificate/convocation date (whichever is earlier) will be considered as the graduation date for calculating work experience gained after graduation..
Selection & Admission Process of IIM K
- Three-Stage Selection Process: IIMK’s admissions for the EPGP 2023-2025 batch follow a meticulous three-stage selection process.
- Stage 1: Shortlisting based on Eligibility Criteria: Applicants are initially shortlisted based on the information provided in their online application form and supporting documents. Eligible candidates proceed to the next stage.
- Stage 2: EMAT & Personal Interview: This stage includes an Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) followed by a personal interview.
- EMAT (Executive Management Aptitude Test):
- Designed to assess applicants’ logical, numerical, and verbal abilities crucial for the EPGP.
- Test duration: One hour with 40 questions.
- Applicants may alternatively submit CAT/GRE/GMAT scores not older than 3 years.
- Personal Interview: Conducted by a panel of IIMK faculty, focusing on evaluating applicants’ profiles.
- EMAT (Executive Management Aptitude Test):
- Merit List and Admission: Scores from EMAT/CAT/GRE/GMAT and the Personal Interview are standardized and used to prepare a merit list for admission.
- Special Consideration for Accomplished Candidates: Those with distinguished accomplishments in their respective fields may qualify for EMAT exemption based on profile evaluation and a personal interview.
