Cranfield Interview Experiences & Questions

All applicants who appear to have the appropriate entrance requirements are invited to come to Cranfield for one of the regularly scheduled interview days. Cranfiled, strongly encourage overseas candidates to visit campus for an interview day. If this is not possible, candidates will be arranged for a telephone interview with a member of the faculty. Processing applications and arranging interviews overseas normally takes up to 2 weeks.

Interview day at Cranfield will normally include a member of the faculty, discussion with the Director of the MBA program, attendance at an MBA class, chance to have Lunch with some of the current MBA students, a short visit to the School’s facilities and the Cranfield tests(candidates having GMAT score over 600 can skip test. Applications will be considered by the admissions Board within a few days of the Interview Day.

Applicants who are accepted will receive a formal offer of a place from the University’s Registrar soon after the Admissions Board meeting. l If we reject your application you will hear directly from the School of Management.

I had my Cranfield interview on 20th. The questions asked during my interview were:

  • Questions on career to date
  • What you might like to do next and how the MBA can help you in that?

Cranfield Interview experiences 2:

My Cranfield interview scheduled at 8 PM IST. The interview started with jovial welcome and went quite well. The questions asked during my interview were:

  • Who is your favorite business leader and why?
  • What are your views on outsourcing?
  • Discussion on Indian IT industry and how it grew?
  • How Laxmi Mittal is a business tycoon in India?
  • What are the causes of financial crisis and suggest some ways to overcome it?
  • Why you want to do an MBA now?

Interview experience 3:

My telephonic Cranfield interview lasted for more than half an hour. The interviewer asked the following questions during my MBA personal interview:

  • What leadership qualities you possess?
  • What are your weaknesses?
  • If …… is your weakness, give me an example where this happened and
  • what did you do about it?
  • Why Cranfield ?
  • How did you come to know about Cranfield?
  • Why MBA now?
  • In your opinion, how does Cranfield stand apart from the rest of the MBA schools.
  • What would you gain from your MBA?
  • What is your most significant professional achievement?
